Thoughts for today and maybe, tomorrow

Democracywest would like to have your thoughts on:

1. You live in the Western world. You enjoy a western lifestyle or are beginning to enjoy a western stle of living.
2. What does this all mean? You are single or married doesn't matter. You have a job; you have or had good schooling; you live in an appartment and you have some money in your pocket. No one is chasing you because of it.
3. Do these fringe benefits make you feel free or freer than your parents and you felt?

Let's talk around this small word: "free". What does it mean? Absolutely free? Completely free? or does it mean Just Free but, within the boundaries of accepted rules? If its the latter then do you live in a 'free society' or not?
What if the rules don't suit you? What if they don't suit 50,1% of those living by these rules? Can you change them? What means do you use to change? Organized discussions or working towards and organized change by airing your complaint, or by coalescing with others who feel like you and want the rules to be modified? What if your friends and you don't make up a majority? Will you act to change the rules, or will you abide by them untily you succeed?
